3The 1st album was betterMar 04, 2010
The first 2 songs rock(totally kick ass) and trick you into thinking that the album is going to be better than it is. Maybe I havent listened to it enough yet and maybe it will grow on me later. But I have listened to it about 5 times and I like the 1st album WAY better.

5good stuffFeb 18, 2010
got this for my bf as a gift, he was happy. all the music you come to expect from Dethklok & the bonus DVD of the concert videos was an excelent addition.

5Dude, Deathklock is AwesomeworldFeb 08, 2010
This album is as cool as the cartoon. I will buy everything they ever come out with. Novelty Metal Rules!

4Not as great as the first album, but the DVD is really coolJan 31, 2010
I like the album, but some great songs from the show are missing (such as the Dethwedding song, a personal fave). There are a couple songs, like Cyborg Slayers, that to me aren't really Dethklok songs. The voice is different, as is the basic structure. Overall, some but not all of the songs are simply not as catchy as the ones from their initial release. The DVD in the deluxe version contains videos that apparently were shown during their first tour, a couple of which were hidden features on the second season DVD. But here, nearly all the songs from the first album are now in video, and the funniest (to me) is Castratikon. It's pretty funny to see hundreds of men castrated by a montrous version of Nathan Explosion's girlfriend, trashing a city like Godzilla. A good buy overall, but there were so many good songs from the second season that I feel weren't included. I was a bit disappointed.

1Homogenized filler. All of it.Jan 27, 2010
As a big fan of the original Dethalbum, I was really looking forward to hearing more of this brilliant music.

I typically decide if I like a song around 60-90 seconds in. If I'm bored, or the song is bad, I hit forward >>|. Much to my surprise, I hit >>| a total of 12 times, landing back on the original track.

This can't be!

So I listened carefully to each track to try and figure out why I couldn't stand any of the music.

Here we go:

* "Nathan" can no longer be understood. Every track is /Uggh blee blogh ugggh roggh urrrgh/ over and over. I think on the entire album I picked up around 8 words. The last album was very easy to understand and had clever lyrics. These could be the greatest lyrics of all time, I would never know.

* They picked one tempo and went with it. How about a little variety?

* Maybe you can say the same for the melody, with slight variation.

So I realized why I hated it: I couldn't understand anything and all the songs sounded the same.

If one was to pick metal music to play in an elevator, this would be it.

One word wraps this up: Homogenized.
