LOS ANGELES, California March 4, 2026 – Today, Emmy award-winning animation studio Titmouse, known for its counterculture-esque aesthetic and passion for the art of animation, collaboration and experimentation, announced the return of its annual celebration of animation, 5 Second Day… Night!!!, marking the event’s 20th anniversary with screenings in Los Angeles, New York, Vancouver, and Paris.

To celebrate two decades of creative chaos, this year’s showcase will serve as a special anniversary edition, featuring a unique, uncensored compilation of brand new short-form cartoons created during the studio’s annual 5 Second Day tradition, alongside a curated selection of standout shorts from the past 20 years of the event.

“5 Second Day and the subsequent 5 Second Day… Night!!! started as a pretty simple idea: we clear the calendar for a day and let our artists make something purely for themselves,” said Chris Prynoski, co-founder and President of Titmouse. “Twenty years later, it’s grown into this fast, weird, heartfelt creative force with a life of its own. Every year we send it out into the world so fans can experience that energy the way it’s meant to be experienced: together, on a big screen, loud, communal and larger-than-life.”

Now in its 20th year, 5 Second Day gives Titmouse animators and team members the ultimate playground for creativity and the chance to unleash all the quirky, beautiful, downright bizarre, and laugh-out-loud ideas that have been brewing in their minds, transforming them into bite-sized animated masterpieces. Each year, Titmouse designates a 5 Second Day for the studio to “shut down” in order to give anyone who wants to participate an entire paid day off to focus on producing animated shorts, which are then screened together during the annual 5 Second Day… Night!!! and attended by industry executives, fellow animation enthusiasts, and members of the public. With Titmouse being an artist-driven studio, creators retain full ownership of the characters and original properties they develop for 5 Second Day… Night!!!, reinforcing the event’s spirit of creative freedom and experimentation.

Seats are limited, with priority reserved for Titmouse employees and friends. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to purchase their tickets as soon as possible before they are sold out.

NOTE: The films screened are not rated by the MPAA. The screening is intended for an adult audience and some films contain adult content.
