Simón Wilches-Castro is an award-winning Colombian animator, director, and creative director based in Los Angeles. His films have screened at festivals worldwide, earning numerous distinctions including two Adobe Design Achievement Awards, two Annie Award nominations, two Student Academy Award finalist nominations, two Webby Awards, (only one) Promax Award, and nine official selections at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. 

His credits include directing the animated sequences for Marvel projects such as WandaVision, Fantastic Four, and Avengers: Endgame Encore, as well as Dua Lipa’s Hallucinate, Charlie Kaufman’s I’m Thinking of Ending Things, and Nissan’s viral four-hour-long Powerfully Peaceful Ariya campaign. He also directed HBO’s The Emperor’s Newest Clothes Animated Musical and a One Direction fan-fiction sequence for Euphoria. Simón holds an MFA in Animation and Digital Arts from USC. He is a Fulbright Scholar and a two-time TEDx speaker.
